The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas received an on-line donation a few days ago.  I emailed the donor back, thanked him for his gift, and asked if he would share “why” he had chosen to make such a generous donation to the food bank.

Below is his emailed reply…word for word.—Linda Finley, Executive Director

Linda:

“Thank you for your email. I received your mail piece this week and it reminded me of how tough things are for a lot of people right now.  We all have worries and concerns for our jobs, paying the bills and so forth. However, food is one of the most basic necessities and it reminded me how fortunate my family is not have to deal with hunger.  The Lord has generously blessed our family even in these tough economic times and we wanted to share with those who are struggling to get enough to eat.”

“We hope this donation helps to feed many families that are in need during the holidays.  Please let us know if we can help in any other way.”
