On Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 7 PM, the Twin Lakes Playhouse presented a “big hit–delightful” benefit performance of the musical adventure, “Treasure Island” to a full house for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.  The food bank’s Board of Directors and staff (many who were present) brought in $1,170 in ticket sales.  As customary,$125 was presented to the Twin Lakes Playhouse for their Scholarship Fund.

Baxter County Farm Bureau,  Food Check Out

Baxter County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee celebrated the national observance of Food Check Out week, Feb. 21-27,  with a display at Harp’s Food Store and Town and Country Food Store.   At these stores, women handed out information on the food pyramid and how Arkansas ranks in the nation with food production.   During this time, the women collected donations and food for the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
