"Fighting Hunger in North Central Arkansas"

Although hunger is a very real problem in the lives of over 35,000,000 Americans, most of us probably never realize just how close to empty our neighbor's refrigerator may be. The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas (FBNCA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitible organization whose mission is to feed the hungry in a nine county area of North Central Arkansas.

Referred to as "food insecurity", hunger in America is simply defined as not knowing where your next meal will be coming from. Of the approximate 35,000,000 Americans suffering from some condition of food insecurity, 14,500,000 of those people are children under the age of 12. The elderly and disabled on fixed incomes largely make up the balance.
